It was around early 2017 when I was introduced to Singularity University and its founders, Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis, by my good friend Aluri, who had attended their executive program and strongly recommended that I do the same. I followed his advice and joined the program in December 2017. The exposure to the concept of exponential thinking and cutting-edge technologies across a spectrum of disciplines was an unparalleled experience for me.
During the program, I had the opportunity to meet both founders and spend some time with them. I also attended the SU Global Summit in 2019 in San Fransisco, which Peter curated.
Peter is a strong evangelist for each one of us developing our Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP). He believes that your MTP is a clear statement that guides, empowers, and inspires you. It helps you decide what to do and, more importantly, what not to do. It serves as both your fuel and your filter.
Having founded INDICA and NICE in the area of cultural education and entrepreneurship, with a particular vision in mind, I recently attempted to follow this process and come up with a simple statement that I can use to tell people what I do when asked. I loved the challenge of crafting my entire vision into a single sentence. As Peter suggested by sharing and communicating your vision with your friends, you can attract more cohorts who resonate with your cause.
The entire process of crafting my MTP has been one of self-discovery: discovering my abilities, aptitude and potential, my likes and passions, my values and the problems in our society that affect me. A more detailed analysis can be read here https://lnkd.in/gUEdF-J9
The intersection of these three that is potential, passion and problem has led me to my MTP, which is:
“Advancing Indic Wisdom For The Wellbeing Of Every Being By Fulfilling The Seekers Quest and Nurturing The Change-makers Purpose”
I strongly recommend each one of you to embark on this journey as well.
