Since its founding, INDICA has pursued this dual path of being both an educational and a grant-giving institution. Over the last ten years, we have awarded grants at a scale never before seen in our ecosystem. We have supported every conceivable need and enabled hundreds of individuals to pursue their dreams.
Over time, I have realised that giving a one-time grant is not enough. It is important to stay connected and be part of their growth as a co-traveller and to mentor them from time to time.
Some do not need funds at all. They are looking for mentoring, access to a network, or someone to collaborate and co-create with. While we have done this whenever needed, we did not have a formal structure for it.
To do this well, with a dedicated person fully responsible, I am making this a deeply personal effort — my commune for Indic seekers and changemakers — and launching coHari commune.
