my Why

“Below is a glimpse into what makes me who I am, what drives me, and how I hope to serve.”

my Aptitude

I like to think logically and from first principles. I am also very creative. I love thinking about big and transformative ideas. I am a generalist and think across disciplines. I also think across different time horizons. I believe in lifelong learning. I learn from experiences and by engaging with different perspectives. I love to experiment by implementing ideas quickly. As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned the value of tenacity. I enjoy the disciplines of strategy and law.

my Passion

I am passionate about creativity and philosophy. Art and design help me connect with my inner self. I am particularly drawn to art that is embedded with philosophy. I am also drawn to all branches of design — from architecture and interiors to products, graphics, and systems. I believe good design should integrate form and function to evoke a sense of harmony and oneness. I seek inner transformation through reflection and travel in search of immersive experiences — whether through retreats, museums, shows, or spaces that are designed to invite self-inquiry.

I also find great joy in enabling and nurturing others to discover their purpose and express themselves to their full potential. I like to help them think big and take risks. I also like to encourage them to give back to society and pursue their spiritual path.

my Values

I believe in the practice of Pancha Maha Yajna. As a Dharmic Liberal, I believe in the primacy of duty while upholding individual freedom and progress. Rooted in Adi Shankaracharya’s Advaita, I am devoted to the universal consciousness that unites all beings. I also believe that once our financial needs are met, we must dedicate ourselves to a larger cause — by giving back and serving our community, society, country, and the world.

my Cause

I believe Indic wisdom can bring health, happiness, and harmony — not just to Indians but to people everywhere. The legacy of colonisation has impacted our understanding of this heritage. I therefore feel responsible to preserve, protect, and promote Indian knowledge systems, traditions, and culture for Indians and seekers around the world.

my Purpose

Having fulfilled my financial obligations towards all my stakeholders, I now seek to channel all my abilities and passion into the cause of advancing Indic wisdom:

A. By offering experiences that are unique, authentic, immersive, aesthetic, and transformative; and B. By helping others discover their self, work selflessly for a larger cause, and eventually find their true Self.

coHari commune

A circle for Indic seekers and changemakers

Since its founding, INDICA has pursued this dual path of being both an educational and a grant-giving institution. Over the last ten years, we have awarded grants at a scale never before seen in our ecosystem. We have supported every conceivable need and enabled hundreds of individuals to pursue their dreams.

Over time, I have realised that giving a one-time grant is not enough. It is important to stay connected and be part of their growth as a co-traveller and to mentor them from time to time.

Some do not need funds at all. They are looking for mentoring, access to a network, or someone to collaborate and co-create with. While we have done this whenever needed, we did not have a formal structure for it.

To do this well, with a dedicated person fully responsible, I am making this a deeply personal effort — my commune for Indic seekers and changemakers — and launching coHari commune.

my Who

As a pluralist and a generalist, I want to work with academics, artists, authors, activists, social entrepreneurs, public leaders, or seekers from all domains, disciplines, and traditions. I welcome like-minded entrepreneurs who have a desire to give back most of their wealth to society.

my How

I wish to work with people who resonate with me. I imagine that a beautiful work of art will emerge from the actions we undertake as co-travellers. Every engagement between us should be an act of making naivedyam. While there is an external goal that we may set out to achieve together — which we may or may not accomplish to our satisfaction — it is the inner goal of self-transformation that should be our primary measure of the progress we have made in our journey.

We will work together with an attitude of devotion, surrender, and gratitude. It will be unhurried and organic, guided by a shared purpose of serving our heritage while nurturing inner transformation. More specifically, I will coach, collaborate, co-create, contribute, connect you to my network, and celebrate your work on an INDICA platform. Come — let’s learn, grow, and evolve together.
