Calls

Launch of coHari

March 19, 2026

Namaskaram. Happy Ugadi.

On this auspicious day, I am pleased to announce the launch of www.coHari.org, a personal space for me to coach, collaborate, and contribute to embodied seekers of Indic wisdom.

Broadly speaking, coHari will have two dimentions.

Curries : A Bouquet of Reflections and Conversations

This will include all the reflections I have already been sharing on WhatsApp over the past year. Along with this, I am now keen on doing conversational podcasts with my friends and fellow seekers. I am very keen on exploring failures and unfinished projects. Oftentimes, failures happen because an idea is ahead of its time, poorly executed, or simply not a good idea. Similarly, all of us have unfinished projects. Through these conversations, I want to extract the essence from such experiences and see if others can take up these unfinished ideas or learn from these failures. I believe learning from failures is far more important than learning from successes. So the conversations will focus on these two aspects: failures and unfinished projects.

Calls for Programs, Projects, and Publications

The second aspect of coHari is that I will be giving periodic calls on things I want to work on. So far, such calls were issued through INDICA, covering a wide and diverse range of causes for which we offered grants. These are going to be discontinued entirely. Going forward, these will move into coHari. However, unlike earlier, these calls will not be for everyone, but only for embodied seekers with whom I wish to develop a meaningful relationship. The primary intent is not financial contribution alone, but to mentor, coach, guide, and collaborate. I am consciously flipping the sequence and doing fewer things with fewer people, but making each engagement far more meaningful.

Seeking Through Giving

Personally, I am pursuing a path of seeking through giving while advancing Indic wisdom. This is my primary goal.

Apart from the above, I am now making a broader call to indicate the four areas that I also wish to focus on while pursuing my primary goal. Over time, I will make calls that are more specific to each area.

One, I am proposing to build a Mahagurukulam in Jadcherla, Telangana. Anyone interested in joining me on this journey can reach out. I am currently formulating my thoughts and consulting a few scholars whom I deeply respect. Once this idea takes a more concrete shape, I will announce a more specific call.

Second, I am deeply interested in creating, curating, and supporting endeavours with an Indic lens. This could be a book, an immersive experience, a film, an art installation, or any event or project. Anyone who wishes to explore such ideas can reach out. Currently, I am working on a call for an anthology I issued some time ago. I am going to focus on this and bring it to a final shape before I issue a new call.

Third, I am keen on the concept of Vanaprastha and the idea of seeking through giving. Next year, I will invite those who are 60 plus, who have settled their financial and family responsibilities, and who now wish to gradually withdraw from an acquisitive engagement with the world and move toward a life of contribution and giving back. A life of loka-sangraha and a life without regrets. I would like to build a community around such seekers who wish to pursue a path of giving.

Fourth and finally, I am always open to working with embodied seekers from any discipline, domain, or tradition. What do I mean by embodied seekers? They should have a genuine quest for inner transformation. They should pursue their chosen discipline seriously and make it a part of their being. And they should be willing to advance that discipline by giving back. In other words, they are not just experts or scholars but are also practitioners and doers. I invite anyone who fits the above criteria and seeks my support to reach out to me anytime.

Organic. No Push. Only Pull.

After this announcement, you will not hear from me regularly unless I have a specific call to make. I am not planning to use social media to share or push anything. In fact, I do not even have social media share buttons on this website. It will be a fully pull-based approach. I also want everything to be organic. If you feel the time is right, you can reach out and we can explore what unfolds. Meanwhile, if you wish to stay connected, please sign up, share your phone number and email ID, and we can remain in touch. You can simply read my reflections and listen to my conversations!

Happy Ugadi once again. Personally, for me, this is a pivot, a transformation, a journey that I am undertaking. Maybe we can walk parts of this journey together, collaborating and advancing Indic wisdom.

Warmly,

Hari Vadlamani
